From the 1978 collection comes this amazing red Halston with its long attached ties that allow you to wrap and style the bodice, waist and hips in different ways to accentuate what and where you want. This is a shorter cocktail or day dress length then the gowns shown. It is also made of a light polished jersey cotton which makes it so easy to wear and travel with and despite its sexiness is incredibly comfortable to wear - this was the forefront of that American sportswear aesthetic that combines comfort with high style and sexiness. The front is low in a gathered V with tiny straps that tie behind the neck. The ties originate from the base of that V. The waist nips in and the back is left completely bare. The skirt is incredibly full - if laid out flat it is a full circle with fabric to spare. Its absolutely wonderful. Excellent, appears unworn condition.
Unlined and hooks at the waist with snaps beneath that.
