Outstanding RARE vintage silk designer 2 piece dress from Gilbert Adrian. This dress was acquired from the estate of a 1940s high end department store owner who only saved 3 pieces from her time as a fashion buyer and all three were designed by Gilbert Adrian. I was told that she met him personally and that he was her favorite designer. This is a silk dress with two different shades of the same pattern and a separate top that matches the bodice of the dress. Novelty print "natives" fabric that is so much more amazing in person! Gilbert Adrian dresses are incredibly difficult to find and we are fortunate to now have 4 in our inventory! Excellent condition - probably never worn.
